The Caregiver Recruitment and Retention Unit would like to provide an update on EMERGENCY information.
The number that families should call to report evacuation and relocation as a result of the Hurricane is the Georgia Division of Family & Children Services Centralized Intake Call Center (CICC) at (1-855-GA-CHILD) or (855) 422-4453. When calling this number please select option "5” and let the responding agent know that you caring for a foster child and need to report your relocation as a result of the storm.
Please ensure that your foster parents and caregivers are aware of the need to update DFCS in the event of any evacuation or relocation. The full text of the message from Commissioner Crittenden is available here.
