E-Blast: Georgia TeenWork Internship Program - Youth Participant Recruitment Has Begun

Greetings,

The Georgia TeenWork Internship Program is excited about serving Georgia’s foster youth this 2017 Employment Year. Below you will find the 2017 online participant application link and the link for youth and their supporters (Foster parents, caregivers, providers) to register for one of the Job Readiness Trainings that will be offered. All interested youth must attend one of the offered Job Readiness Training opportunities.

All interested youth must attend at least one of the offered Job Readiness Trainings prior to the session for which they are applying. Register for a 2017 Job Readiness Training here (or download the training calendar here). Attendance at a Job Readiness Training and submission of an application does not guarantee youth a position with the Georgia TeenWork Internship Program.

Georgia TeenWork Internship Program Youth Eligibility Requirements for 2017

  • Must be a foster youth within the state of Georgia.
  • Must reside in the state of Georgia.
  • Must be between the ages of 15 to 18 years old by the first day of the session applied for (Spring/March, Summer/June-July, Winter/December).
  • Must possess a valid State of Georgia photo ID. State ID is not required to attend a Job Readiness Trainings.
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen, permanent resident, or have an employment authorization card.
  • SOAR Applicants : All 18 year old applicants must be attending an educational program the semester following the work session for which they are applying.
