E-Blast: Circle of Security Parenting Program

Dear Providers:

There are still a few seats left in the Circle of Security facilitator training (see flyer). The session will be August 28-31, 2017 and hosted by Clarke County School District Office of Early Learning in Athens, GA. You will find this program profiled in the ACF/OHS Compendium of Parenting Interventions on page 38 as a peer-reviewed parenting program with the target audience as "High-risk" parents or caregivers of children ages 0 to 5. Objectives include:

  • Promote or shift to secure parent-child attachment for better child outcomes
  • Help parents recognize child cues that signal exploration and seeking of haven of safety
  • Help parents learn appropriate responses and sensitivity to child's attachment needs
