E-Blast: State Offices Remain Closed to Non-Essential Personnel on Thursday, Jan. 18

January 17, 2018 3:24 PM

Dear Providers:

The governor has extended through Thursday, Jan. 18, the closure of all state offices to non-essential personnel in the 83 counties affected by the state of emergency. This includes all DFCS, DCSS and DAS offices in those areas.

Nearly 13,000 miles of roadways are affected by the severe winter weather. The governor asks that motorists stay off roads and highways, allowing the temperature to rise well above freezing tomorrow so the snow and ice can melt, and so that GDOT, DPS and GEMA can continue their work.

Updates on office closings and other information will be posted on the DFCS website. You may also follow @GaDFCS on Twitter or “Like” us on Facebook.

Thank you and stay safe.
