The Division of Family and Children Services Adoptions Unit would like to thank all of the Child Placing Agencies who have participated in the RBWO Adoption Incentive Program for the past 2 years. As a result of this partnership many children have been moved to permanency in a safe and timely manner.

 

As stated in your RBWO contracts, the program is based on adoption funding. Unfortunately, funding for the program has been depleted and future adoption funds are not available to continue the program. Therefore, the adoption incentive program will be terminated effective April 30, 2018. We will process all invoices for Adoption Consideration Evaluations completed by April 30th and any finalizations through April 30th. Additionally, all invoices must be received by the State Adoptions Unit by May 10, 2018. Notification will be sent to DFCS staff making them aware of this change and you should not receive any requests to complete Adoption Considerations Evaluations after April 20th.

 

Again we thank you for your participation in the program and we encourage you to continue to work with our staff in the county departments to make sure our children continue to achieve safe and timely permanency.
