E-Blast: SAFE Pilot: Request for participants

May 23, 2018 4:39 PM

Greetings CPA Providers,

Georgia Division of Family and Children Services has partnered with the Consortium for Children to PILOT the use of the Structured Analysis Family Evaluation (SAFE) in select areas of the State.  Our goal is to use the information gathered from this test group to prepare for statewide implementation.  SAFE is the Consortium for Children’s standardized home study methodology that has revolutionized the way both public and private child welfare agencies study and evaluate prospective adoptive, kin and foster families. SAFE assists home study practitioners in performing a thorough, structured and uniform evaluation of families who have applied to foster or adopt.

The Office of Provider Management would like to extend the opportunity for five (5) private agencies to opt-in to be a part of this test group.  Participants will be randomly selected to participate.  If your agency is interested in participating in the pilot program, please click https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/DVKFBPP to register by May 25, 2018.  All training costs for participating agencies will be covered by the Division, with the exception of travel.

If there are any questions, please contact Shaun Johnson at shaun.johnson@dhs.ga.gov or (678) 727-3112.

Sincerely,

The Office of Provider Management
