E-Blast: Orange Duffel Bag Initiative

September 7, 2018 5:15 PM

Dear Providers:

Older youth are invited to apply for the Orange Duffel Bag Initiative, which provides at-risk teens and young adults with programs proven to improve education success.

For high school students, ODB has a twelve-week after school group coaching program. The goals are to build upon academic learning of high school students in foster care; to assist them in creating self-driven education and life plans; to empower them to further their post-secondary education through internships, apprenticeships and community involvement; and to provide them tools (laptops) to aid their future success, and offer program graduates college and career readiness events.
College-bound high school seniors and college students who register for Coaching for College Completion receive connection to resources to assist them with; academic advisement; and self-directed education and career plans. They will also connect with college peers and attend classes with meals included. Students who successfully complete the program will receive a $200 scholarship check.
Please see the flyers for contact information for each program.

Thank you.
