GEORGIA TEENWORK INTERNSHIP PROGRAM

As youth begin to prepare for the opportunity to participate in the upcoming 2019 Summer Youth Employment Work Session with the Division of Family and Children Services’ Georgia TeenWork Internship Program we will be hosting training to cultivate the knowledge and skills needed to accelerate youth on the path to employment.
Attendance to at least one Youth Employment Training is MANDATORY to be considered eligible for participation for the 2019 Summer Youth Employment Work Session. This job readiness training is open to all of Georgia’s foster youth ages 16 and 17 years old regardless of intent to participate or previous participation status. We will be requiring the engagement and support of all youth caregivers and supporters to ensure all selected youth have an opportunity to gain valuable knowledge and skill enhancement. The youth participant application is currently available at the following website: https://dfcs.georgia.gov/youth-information. To ensure eligible youth apply and are prepared to begin working, please see the 2019 Georgia TeenWork Eligibility Requirements below:
- GEORGIA FOSTER YOUTH, AGES OF 16 - 17 YEARS OLD
- VALID SOCIAL SECURITY CARD AND STATE OF GEORGIA ISSUED IDENTIFICATION CARD (or DRIVER’S LICENSE)
- COMPLETED ONLINE APPLICATION (https://dfcs.georgia.gov/youth-information)
- COMPLETED PAYROLL PACKET (Provided by Georgia TeenWork Staff during application and selection period)
- ATTEND ALL MANDATORY JOB READINESS TRAININGS (https://www.signupgenius.com/go/70a054daaae2aa6fa7-georgia)
