E-Blast: Recruitment Dates for the Amerigroup IT Apprenticeship Program

Good Afternoon All,

Amerigroup – in partnership with Year Up, the Multi-Agency Alliance for Children (MAAC), and the University of Georgia (UGA)/Fanning Institute – will host additional Amerigroup IT Apprenticeship Priority Admissions Days at Year UP.

Priority Day Events will be held every Wednesday in February 2019, from 1:00 NOON to 2:30 PM at the Atlanta Technical College, 1560 Metropolitan Parkway, Atlanta, GA 30310 in the library which is Building G on the campus (map).  Please plan to be there by 12:30PM as we will start PROMPTLY at 1PM.

Priority Admissions Days will take place every Wednesday in the month of February 2019 (with the exception of the last week of the month):

  • February 6th
  • February 13th
  • February 20th

Additionally, Year Up will be on site at the following Independent Living Workshops:

Region 14:

  • February 12th – 5:00pm to 7:00pm: Georgia Perimeter Technical College – 2460 Wesley Chapel Rd. Decatur, GA 30035
  • February 19th – 5:00pm to 7:00pm: Georgia Perimeter Technical College

 Region 13:

  • February 15th – 11:30 am-1:00 pm: Gwinnett County DFCS – 95 Constitution Blvd. Lawrenceville, GA 30046
  • February 21st – 5:30-7:00 pm: Chattahoochee Tech – 980 South Cobb Drive Marietta, GA 30060 Bldg. F Classroom 2146

Region 5:

  • February 2nd – 10:00am-2:00pm: Newton County DFCS Office – 4117 Mill Street Covington, GA 30015

Region 4:

  • February 18th – 5:00-7:00pm: Clay-Wood Community Center – 135 Heery Rd. Newnan, GA 30236
  • February 18th – 10:00am-12:00pm: Henry County DFCS – 125 Henry Pkwy McDonough, GA 30253

Region 3:

  • February 19th – 5:00-7:00pm: Youth Villages – 4685 Dorsett Shoal Rd. Douglas, GA 30135

If you are aware of any youth age 18-24, with a High School Diploma or GED, who have an interest in IT or and IT related field, please be sure to refer them to careerinfo@maac4kids.org for the initial screening prior to the Priority Admission Day!
