Please read below for information on two funding opportunities for our DFCS youth. In order to take advantage of either opportunity, the young adult must be registered to attend this year’s Celebration of Excellence Event. Please contact your youth’s Independent Living Specialist (ILS) to confirm registration.

 

nsoro: In partnership with the nsoro Educational Foundation, the GARYSE/Chafee Program is offering a scholarship opportunity to the graduating class of 2019 that will support post-secondary expenses. Young adults will have the opportunity to complete an essay to win 1 of 3 prizes. The deadline for this opportunity has been extended and is now due Friday, June 7^th 2019 via email or postal mail.

Communities4Children: In partnership with Communities4Children, GARYSE/Chafee Program is affording High School and GED graduates of the 2018-2019 school year the opportunity to win mini-grants. Mini-grants are available to support the development of young people who exhibit special talents. Young adults can be nominated for this opportunity and if selected, they are required to submit a Photo/Video release. Attached are the Mini-Grant Nomination and Photo/Video Release form. The deadline for this opportunity has been extended and is now due Friday, June 7^th 2019 via email.
