Greetings Division of Family and Children Services Providers:
We are excited to announce the upcoming Financial Literacy Fair. Financial Literacy Fair is a piloted event sponsored by the GARYSE/Chafee Program to increase knowledge and awareness around various topics related to financial literacy to youth and young adults. Additionally, this event will equip caregivers with various information and skill sets needed to prepare youth for financial independence and stability as they transition into adulthood.
During this event, we will have the following:
- Onsite Credit Report Reviews
- Financial Literacy Training
- IDA Training
- Career/Resource Fair to include Division of Driver Services (DDS), Bank of America, Amerigroup, and others
The Financial Literacy Fair will be held at the Georgia Tech Hotel and Conference Center on Monday, July 29th 2019. Breakfast will begin at 8am. Young adults invited to participate must be:
- In the custody of the Division
- Eligible for Chafee Services – If you are unsure, please contact the youth’s Regional ILS
- Between the ages of 14-21
- Residing in the Metro Atlanta area
Registration for the event is now open and will close on Wednesday, July 24th at 5pm. Please get with your Regional Independent Living Specialist (ILS) for registration and further details.
