E-Blast: New resource for youth about economic impact payments

April 17, 2020 10:10 AM

New Resource for Youth (and the adults who support them) about the $1200 economic impact payments: Economic Impact Payments for COVID-19: The Basics.

We have heard from young people that they have questions about the economic impact payments – and we have answers! Visit Youth Engaged 4 Change to find out what the economic impact payment is, who gets it, and how to get it. Our mobile-responsive content includes information on the IRS’s Get My Payment tool, how to file your taxes for free (and what to do if you don’t need to file your taxes), as well as how to avoid phishing scams right now.

It is available at this link and as a downloadable PDF. The Interagency Working Group on Youth Programs is working with youth to hear more about their concerns right now so that we can be responsive – we welcome input via our social media channels (Twitter: @youthdotgov | IG: YouthEngaged4Change | Facebook: Youth Engaged 4 Change) or by email.

To find more about resources to support youth right now, visit youth.gov’s coronavirus content and Youth Engaged 4 Change.

Thank you.
