Greetings Team and Partners –
The GARYSE Chafee Program is currently working to update existing policies and develop new policies to support the construction of the Connected by 21 Extended Foster Care Program. Our current policy focus is on Written Transitional Living Plan and Transitional Round Table Meetings. Before we move forward, we need vital information from youth ages 14-21 currently in foster care, or those who have recently exited. We are asking that you share the survey link below with youth so that they are able to provide their input. This survey is to be completed by youth only as their voice is necessary in ensuring we capture their perspective and feedback in policy development. Youth can complete the survey using this link: https://ugeorgia.ca1.qualtrics.com/jfe/form/SV_4O25dbJHEQgxjjn. This survey will close at noon on September 23, 2020.
We will also host a focus group with youth at the end of the survey period on Wednesday September 23rd for youth ages 18+ and Thursday September 24th for youth ages 14-17. Youth who are interested in participating in the focus group are encouraged to contact their local Independent Living Specialist to provide their name and contact information.
