21st Century Skills: College and Career Readiness for Youth in Care
Thursday, October 22, 2020
10:00 AM – 11:00 AM
1:00 PM – 2:00 PM
21st Century Skills are a broad set of skills, a bank of knowledge, work habits and character traits that educators, colleges, and employers would like youth to possess as they transition into adulthood and the workplace. In developing into 21st Century Ready young adults, education is the key foundation to ensuring our young people have what they need to successfully transition into the 21st century skills based and centered world. These skills can be applied across all academic subjects, careers, and life settings. This Academy will discuss what we can do to support all youth in acquiring and cultivating these skills while at the same time ensuring they receive the foundational supports to help them get there.
