The Office of Provider Management (OPM) is in the process of collaborating with our partners to register CPA staff for the upcoming SAFE initial training sessions and SAFE Refreshers. All sessions will be offered virtually and a select number of slots have been allotted for our CPA partners for each session.

Registration Instructions:

To register, send an email to opm.leadership@dhs.ga.gov by March 8, 2021 with the following information for each staff member seeking training:

• Name
• Email Address
• Agency
• Two different dates that they are available to attend a session
• **For initial training, will they attend the 2-day or 3-day training?

Remind staff to check their spam for follow up emails that will come directly from the Consortium with confirmation of registration as well as any links for the sessions and the forms that will be needed during the sessions. 

• To attend the 2-day Initial SAFE Training the staff member must be in a position where they will be writing home assessments or approving SAFE assessments.
• To attend the Supervisor Day for the Initial SAFE Training, you must be providing supervisory oversight to an assessor who is completing a SAFE assessment or you must be an approver of a SAFE assessment.

    • March 25 (Supervisor) – 9 am – 1 pm

    • March 23-24 (2-Day) –  11 am – 6 pm
    • March 25 (Supervisor) – 11 am – 3 pm
  • April Session 1
    • April 5-7 (2-Day) – 10 am – 5 pm
    • April 7 (Supervisor) – 10 am – 2 pm
  • April Session 2:
    • April 5-7 (2-Day) – 12 pm – 7 pm
    • April 7 (Supervisor) – 12 pm – 4 pm
  • April Session 3:
    • April 20-21 (2-Day) – 9 am to 4pm
  • May Session 1
    • May 3-4 (2-Day) – 10 am – 5 pm
    • May 5 (Supervisor) – 10 am – 2 pm
  • May Session 2:
    • May 10-11 (2-Day) – 12 pm – 7 pm
    • May 12 (Supervisor) – 12 pm – 4 pm
  • May Session 3:
    • May 24-25 (2-Day) – 9 am- 4 pm
    • May 26 (Supervisor) – 9 am – 1 pm
  • May Session 4:
    • May 24-25 (2-day)- 11 am- 6 pm
    • May 26 (Supervisor) 11 am- 3 pm
  • June Session 1:
    • June 7-8 (2-Day) – 10 am – 5 pm
    • June 9 (Supervisor) – 10 am – 2 pm
  • June Session 2:
    • June 14-15 (2-Day) – 9 am – 4 pm
    • June 16 (Supervisor) – 9 am – 1 pm
  • June Session 3:
    • June 22-23 (2-Day) – 11 am- 6 pm
    • June 24 (Supervisor) – 11 am – 3 pm

• To attend a SAFE Refresher, the staff member must already have the general SAFE Certification.
• To attend a Supervisor SAFE Refresher, the staff member must already have the Supervisor SAFE Certification.
• Session dates (All Refreshers are held from 9 am to 4 pm EST):

  • April 27th, 2021 (Supervisors Only)
