E-Blast: Autism Awareness Training Requirement

January 26, 2023 12:28 PM

Dear Providers:

The Division has partnered with Behavioral Pediatrics Resource Center to provide Autism Awareness training for foster parents (both public and private), DFCS case management staff, and RBWO provider case management staff.

Behavioral Pediatrics Resource Center is a nonprofit organization that was created to serve children with autism spectrum disorders. Their goal is to provide awareness trainings for individuals caring for children with autism.

From January through June 2023, Behavioral Pediatrics will be offering training sessions throughout the state.  Rollout will be by region and a schedule will be provided to outline the available training opportunities for your region.

Training, which consists of a mandatory staff training video (1 credit hour) and optional Q&A follow up held via Zoom (1 additional credit hour), is available for all foster parents, DFCS case managers, and private agency case managers.

Based on the schedule below, you will receive a follow-up eblast containing instructions: where to view the training video, how to register for the optional Q&A sessions, and how to receive credit for completing this training. Please share the information with your foster parents and case management staff.
