E-Blast: Autism Awareness Training Links -- All Regions

March 20, 2023 2:13 PM

Dear Providers:

As you read in the memo from Deputy Commissioner Mary Havick, the Division has partnered with Behavioral Pediatrics Resource Center to provide autism training for foster parents (both public and private), DFCS case management staff, and RBWO provider case management staff. The one-hour video training is mandatory for all private agency case managers (CSS, CSW, HSP, LC) and foster parents. You do not need to wait for a specific roll-out to your region; staff and caregivers can complete the training at any time.

MANDATORY VIDEO TRAINING
All private agency case managers and foster parents must view the video and report completion to GA+SCORE.
The video does not have a certificate. To show that it was completed, follow the normal process for documenting annual training hours in your records and in GA+SCORE: the purple Profile >> Annual Training screen for staff or green Members >> Annual Training screen for foster parents.

OPTIONAL Q&A SESSIONS
Staff and foster parents who have viewed the video may also choose to attend an optional Q&A session over Zoom for another one-hour credit. This offers an opportunity to speak directly to trainers from Behavioral Pediatrics Resource Center about the material presented in the videos.

Q&A sessions are scheduled throughout March and April. To attend a Q&A session, register using one of the links below. You'll receive an email containing the link for the Zoom session:
To receive credit for the optional Q&A, do NOT report the training to GA+SCORE. Instead, complete the Google Form that's shared by the trainers during the Zoom session. GA+SCORE administrators will load your training hours into the system based on the form.

If you have technical questions about accessing the videos or registration links from this eblast, or about reporting your video training to GA+SCORE, email support@gascore.com. If you have content questions about information presented in the videos, please plan to attend a Q&A session.

Thank you.
