The Summer 2019 YOUTH EMPLOYMENT WORK SESSION application is open!
Our ultimate goal is to ensure foster youth, ages 16-17, participate in hands on work experience to develop skills that promote self-sufficiency and independence. Another goal is to ensure we continue to partner with businesses and organizations who are committed to contributing to the success of our youth who participate in the work experiences. Join us by spreading the word about this wonderful opportunity by forwarding this email to all DFCS Field Staff (Case Workers, Supervisors, Field Program Specialists and Independent Living Program Specialists), Congregate Care Providers and other adult supporters who support teens in foster care within Georgia.
2019 Youth Participant Application
The youth participant application is now available at the following website: https://dfcs.georgia.gov/youth-information. To ensure eligible youth apply and are prepared to begin working, please see the 2019 Georgia TeenWork Eligibility Requirements below:
- GEORGIA FOSTER YOUTH, AGES OF 16 - 17 YEARS OLD, CANNOT TURN 18 PRIOR TO JUNE 30, 2019
- VALID SOCIAL SECURITY CARD AND STATE OF GEORGIA ISSUED IDENTIFICATION CARD (or DRIVER’S LICENSE)
- COMPLETED ONLINE APPLICATION https://dfcs.georgia.gov/youth-information
- COMPLETED PAYROLL PACKET (Provided by Georgia TeenWork Staff during application and selection period)
- ATTEND AT LEAST ONE MANDATORY TRAININGS (https://www.signupgenius.com/go/70a054daaae2aa6fa7-georgia)
