Georgia Division of Family and Children Services
2023 Celebration of Excellence
~ VOLUNTEERS NEEDED ~
It's that time of year again! It's time for the 31st Annual Celebration of Excellence (COE). The Celebration of Excellence is an annual graduation event hosted by the Georgia Division of Family and Children Services (DFCS). This event recognizes the educational achievements of youth in Georgia's foster care system who are graduating from high school, vocational school, or college. The Division has hosted this hallmark event for our youth for many years and due to the pandemic, this event has been held virtually for the last three years. Now COE is back and in person this year and we need you!
This year’s event will be a multi-day event for our youth (June 21 – 23), culminating in the Celebration of Excellence Graduation Ceremony on Friday, June 23, 2023. As always, we cannot do this event for our youth alone - we need your help and support!!
How can you help this year? You can support the event and our youth in several ways by providing oversight for youth directly or helping with youth workshops and learning opportunities.
This year's COE will occur at the Renaissance Concourse Atlanta Airport Hotel from Wednesday, June 21, 2023, to Friday, June 23, 2023. To register to volunteer, below you will find the COE Volunteer Fit Survey link. If you will be able to volunteer, please click the link below and complete the survey. Your completion of the survey will be confirmed as your registration for volunteering. The last day to register is Friday, June 9, 2023.
Please note: All volunteers are responsible for their travel to and from the venue and overnight accommodations will not be provided (unless otherwise indicated). Each volunteer need is for daily of tasks and assignments.
