Become a Foster Parent

Potential foster parents work with the State of GA to become a DFCS foster home, or with a Child Placing Agency (CPA). A CPA is regulated by the state, and places children in foster homes for temporary care or for adoption. A CPA offers services provided by highly trained foster parents and must meet a set of minimum standards for Room, Board, and Watchful Oversight (RBWO) while it is under contract with the state.
