The Office of Provider Management (OPM) would like to provide some additional clarification that will help to alleviate delays in the background check process. More specifically, RBWO providers have expressed that they are experiencing delays in applicants receiving the GAPS confirmation email to proceed to a fingerprinting site.
As a gentle reminder, providers must complete the Records Check Verification Form prior to registering their applicant with GAPS. This step is vital to the initiation and timely completion of the background check process. Without the submission of this form, the agency is not able to review and approve the applicant’s GAPS registration.
